General information

in June 2004 Sharon Abergel opened up Espresso Cafe & Sushi Bar. For nearly 15 years, thanks to Sharon, everyone in Philadelphia has had a place they can go to. Sharon is an easy-going guy who believes that if you’re genuine and give customers what they want, they’ll appreciate it and come back. He guarantees that every customer that comes for the first time will undoubtedly come for a 2nd, 3rd and 4th time. He knows his food is excellent and everything is made on premises with the freshest ingredients. Read on for some palate-worthy highlights!
Start the day off right by enjoying one of our superb waffles, pastries or omelettes for breakfast. In fact, we have seven different omelettes, all made with three eggs, garnished with fresh garden vegetables and served with bread and butter. Enjoy one (or all!) of these with a hot cup of coffee or tea.
For lunch or dinner our not-to-be-missed French Onion Soup is the definitive way to start the meal. Mouth-watering onions, lightly spiced croutons, all topped with mozzarella cheese. It’s simply “soup”erb! Follow that with a perfectly toasted sesame-seed baguette wheel with tuna, cheese, olives and hard-boiled egg. Be sure to try our salads (Caesar, Israeli and Greek, to name a few) as well as our specialty Israeli dishes such as falafel, malawah and burekas. Of course, if you’re in the mood for a cheesy, saucy pasta dish or a tasty fish try the Espresso Tilapia served with Tahini sauce and pine nuts, or the popular favorite King Salmon. To round out our menu, we also offer a number of sushi rolls – try a Philly Roll today!. And one would be remiss not to try one of our homemade desserts combined with a nice, hot cappuccino or traditional nana tea. And children will undoubtedly be staring in open-eyed amazement at the tantelizing candy-collection at the front-register!
